Meta is seeking a Component Quality Engineer responsible for working with our suppliers and manufacturing partners to develop and implement world class quality programs for Optical components used in Meta Infrastructure.Component Quality Engineer, Optics Responsibilities:Develop and implement Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) performance metrics to assess and enhance product qualityConduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure modes/high volume manufacturing challenges and their impacts in the evaluation of advanced optical technologiesDesign and carry out reliability tests to assess the performance and durability of optical modules and components. Establish advanced in-house testing capabilities for reliability and performance to strengthen overall product design robustnessLead continuous improvement initiatives based on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and identified opportunities in collaboration with optical suppliers. Work with cross-functional teams to implement design enhancements and preventive measuresPerform regular audits of manufacturing facilities.Partner with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), component suppliers, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure comprehensive coverageCreate detailed reports and dashboards that document reliability test outcomes, failure analysis insights, and recommendations for improvementReview and qualify supplier product, process and engineering change notifications.10% International travel may be required.Minimum Qualifications:
