Essential ResponsibilitiesIndependently drive M&A transactions from sourcing to close; manage cross functional deal teamsSupport the development of GEV Business Development strategyExecute on deals that support the GEV’s BD strategyCollaborate cross functionally to influence and ensure senior leadership buy-in on acquisition, JV or divestment opportunitiesCoach, develop and lead more junior M&A team membersTravel extensively and assimilate quickly into project teamsHelp build the commercial/strategic rationale for deals, challenge the financial models, create documents (internal and external) and support the due diligence processKeep abreast of industry research and competitor activities (sectors and markets) in order to assess the possibilities for portfolio growth, and identify likely markets, competition, acquisition opportunities, product development and business opportunitiesPerform market and competitor activity analysis based on available information, in order to determine the feasibility and best structure for dealsDevelop deep understanding of GE businesses, products and capabilities across the region. Needs to understand all aspects of GE’s operations thoroughlyWork effectively with team members and outside advisors on legal, tax and financial mattersQualifications/RequirementsRelevant Bachelors Degree, or equivalent knowledge or experience, with extensive financial related transactional experience, including 8 - 10 years of M&A/transaction or relevant experience.Major M&A/Transactional experience, ideally with GEDemonstrated ability to originate, lead and execute complex M&A transactionsStrong communication, influencing and negotiation skills, ability to operate and communicate at senior business levels including CEO and external partiesStrong selling skills and strong commercial acumenStrong external network in relevant marketsStrong project management skillsStrong team player with ability to build relationships quicklyProficient use of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Must be able to travelDesired CharacteristicsExperience in Business Development/M&A essential, minimum 8 - 10 years of M&A or relevant experiencePrior GE BD/M&A experience is essentialDemonstrated strong attention to detail and analytical skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple prioritiesDemonstrated ability to build external relationships at senior levelStrong financial backgroundEuropean language skills a plusAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided:Yes
