WRGB/WCWN has an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Broadcast/IT Engineer. This position involves maintaining broadcast equipment, computers and servers related to television transmission and video automation systems, as well as business-side workstations. The candidate will be directly responsible for hands-on support of modern broadcast and IT equipment.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintain and repair cameras, video production switchers, audio equipment, video routers, automation/editing systems, video server systems, graphic systems, monitors and display systems, receivers, transmitters.PC hardware/software support of on-site installation, service, troubleshooting, and repairing of workstationsProvide support in the management of servers, network security, and network servicesAssist with LAN and WAN related hardware and software maintenanceDevelop knowledge of facility specific IT needs and assist in supporting these systemsApply regular security updatesProvide support for the technical needs of the News DepartmentProvide first response support as needed to maintain live news broadcastsResponds to trouble calls with broadcast or computer equipmentAssist with video equipment set-up and maintenanceAssist with transmitter maintenanceProvide end-user support across all departmentsAssist in fleet managementAssist in building maintenance and scheduling of maintenancePerform physical inventory of equipmentMaintain digital telephone systemOther duties as may be assignedOther Qualifications and Requirements:
