As an investment product manager within the WIS business you will be responsible for building new investment strategies as well as refining existing strategies to solve for the evolving needs of individual investors and advisors across wealth segments. As a product manager your role will be to leverage your knowledge of wealth management, financial products, and exceptional product management skills to rapidly develop, launch and refine investment solutions delivered at scale.WIS product managers collaborate across multiple teams and work closely with quantitative researchers, portfolio managers, client portfolio managers, engineers, UX designers, salespeople, digital product managers, operations, controllers, and compliance to deliver new investment strategies to the market.Responsibilities:Inform and drive the “big picture” investment product roadmap, in partnership with portfolio managers and WIS leadership, while also rolling up your sleeves to rapidly executeIn partnership with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers, research optimal design for new wealth investment solution conceptsWrite internal memos for new investment products to align portfolio managers, researchers, engineers, WIS leadership & sales on product rationale and implementation detailsDevelop technical front-to-back specifications and process maps for investment product designMaintain JIRA tickets, specifications, and documentation for each projectDrive execution of front-to-back product development roadmapCreate a testing plan and validate testing results to ensure smooth rollout of the productContinuously leverage data and customer feedback to identify both problem areas and strategic opportunities for improvementPartner with senior leaders and stakeholders to use quantitative and qualitative data points to drive high quality decision making and make prioritization trade-offsQualifications:Technical background, preferably an undergraduate and/or graduate Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, financial engineering, or other STEM-related background.5-7 years of experience working as a technical product manager, engineer, portfolio manager or financial analyst in the investment industryExcellent communication skills across verbal, written emails, and PowerPoints (e.g. visualizations, diagrams, etc.); Ability to succinctly discuss complex investment and/or technical concepts to various stakeholders across the organization.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to document specifications and communicate effectively across teams.Prudent judgement on risk management, impact to the client experience, and the ability to escalate as needed.Willingness to get into nuanced details necessary to drive high-quality decision-making and ensure prudent risk management that can impact the investment experience.Proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality investment products at scaleDesire to work in a fast-paced environment adhering to strict deadlines and evolving prioritiesSelf-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership of and accountability for projectsSalary RangeThe expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000.
