Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler II - 1st Shift. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The rate for this position is $21.25 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The Assembler II position is primarily focused on assisting and setting up for Welders in the Cable Tray department. The Assembler II will assemble and stack/band Cable Tray ladders. The Assembler II will handle materials and parts up to 50-pounds frequently throughout the shift.Perform simple repetitive assembly of parts and componentsUse bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devicesWork under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagramsHandle 50-pound parts to assist with large part constructionSupport all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
