Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will ensure that all vendor invoices are reconciled and processed in a timely and accurate manner.Review, verify, process and reconcile transactions for operational expenses to ensure accuracy and approval.Code expenses to the proper general ledger accountsCommunicate with Vendors and other internal departmentsReview and respond to incoming e-mails, phone inquiries from vendors and internal departmentsPrepare checks and electronic payments for signing/approval on scheduled payment termsPrepare analysis of monthly operational expenses to identify inconsistenciesResearch and resolve any discrepancies and issuesRespond to vendors' inquiriesRequest and reconcile vendor’s monthly statementsReconciliation and calculations of credits relating to Preferred Vendor ProgramsProvide support during annual and other audits as requiredProcess and pay employee expenseWorking knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in a similar function
