The role covers everything for subassembly or final assembly automation equipment from concept through development with a fully qualified process acceptance into Operations. Up to 50% travel within North America may be expected, with occasional global (Mexico & China) travel.What do you get to do in this position?Create assembly line architecture and specificationsCreate automated equipment/machine specificationsWork with external suppliers to design and deploy assembly lines, including automated equipmentInterpret mechanical design drawings for electrical controls requirements (Creo)Develop PLC and HMI programs for automated equipmentIntegrate machines and assembly lines into MIS and plants' digital manufacturing execution systemsPlan and provide detailed training on equipment design, maintenance and troubleshooting to various customer skillSupport of existing equipment designs, and production issues will be required both locally and at various sites globallyMaintain up to date knowledge of equipment technologies and utilizes this knowledge to specify and develop innovative solutionsUtilize continuous improvement methodology to improve internal industrial processes
