Minimum QualificationsBS in EE or related field plus 7 years of experience in power electronicsCandidate must have hands-on experience of power supply design and demonstrate deep knowledge of offline conversion topologies including Flyback, PFC, resonant converters and analog/digital controls loopsCandidate must be intimately familiar with power supply safety and environmental certifications requirements, power controllers, components, magnetic design, power supply layout and state-of the art techniques for efficiency optimizations including no load/light load efficiency techniquesKnowledge of control theory and basic embedded systemsStrong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to guide critical decisionsMust have excellent communication skills with a strong ability to work effectively across Design, Operations Engineering QA, Reliability teamsWillingness to travel overseas periodically (approximately 10%)Preferred QualificationsMSEE with 5+ years of experience in power electronicsMust demonstrate good understanding of thermals, mechanical and packaging challengesMust demonstrate knowledge of high-volume manufacturing technologies and production varianceKnowledge of wide band-gap power semiconductorsPrior work experience in computer industry and/or power supply module companies is a plusBasic experience in embedded programming and debug for control systemsProven record of working in fast paced innovative work environmentMust be highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for innovation, integrity and attention to detailsAdditional RequirementsMoreApple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
