We are hiring an experienced#2 Bindery Operatorfor our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a #2 Bindery Operator,you will be responsible for reviewing job specifications, performing set-up tasks, monitoring the equipment and troubleshooting on our Core Publishing Solutions team. For this role, you would also be eligible for a $2,500 signing bonus upon being in the role for 90 days.Hours of Work - Eagan, Minnesota1st shift - 6:30 am - 2:30 pmOccasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shiftsAbout the Role:In this opportunity as a#2 Bindery Operator, you will be responsible for:Reviewing job specifications for material and set-up requirementsPerforming or delegating/overseeing set-up tasksMonitoring the equipment and product through the job run to ensure a high-quality productPerforming moderately complex trouble-shooting related to product or equipmentCommunicating effectively during shift and at shift hand-offEvaluating the mechanical condition of equipment, completing preventative maintenance, involving Maintenance as neededUsing computer-based workflows applications to manage filesAccurately documenting activities on Tier Boards and in relevant systems (MII, SAP), i.e., material usage, equipment issues, etcAccurately marking, verifying, and tagging loads correctly to ensure inventory accuracyProviding work direction to others, whether direct crew or other individuals in the workstreamActively participating in company safety programs and contributing to a safe culturePerforming training as neededMeeting or exceeding established quality and productivity standards utilizing standard work proceduresGenerating, implementing, performing and sustaining continuous improvement ideas as well as housekeeping procedures to maintain work areaParticipating in project teams as neededProviding backup for other operators to cover absences or breaksRecommending and implementing process improvements
